LACK on the road to Bloodstock 2018

November 19, 2017 By Lack Lustre

m2tmlondonNext Sunday, November 26th sees your favourite punk/metal trio heading to The Big Red on Holloway Road to compete in Metal 2 The Masses 2018.

LACK entered this competition a couple of years ago and since then there have been some changes.

Not only is Rob, Steve and Jay more certain about how LACK sounds, but Metal 2 The Masses London has also been refreshed. First off, it is free for fans of the bands to attend. That could make a huge difference as to how many supporters will get behind the bands. It shouldn’t, but we know it does.

Furthermore, this year’s venue is The Big Red. This is already a favourite of LACK’s, as well as many of our friends. So, that also should be one less excuse why you can’t attend.

The voting is split between the crowd and the judges 50/50 – so your votes really do count.

We hope to see you on Sunday!

LACK to DEFACE Luton with Sabatta, Dinges and Bogaty Smak

May 12, 2017 By Lack Lustre

lack at Luton CastleThe Castle in Luton is almost a second home for the LACK lads. So, it’s no surprise that we’re looking forward to the show tomorrow.

What makes this next gig even more special is that we’ve been allowed to choose some awesome bands to join us.

We have played with all the bands before and, luckily for us, they have all agreed to come along.

Dinges

According to their bio, they’re a “bunch of prats from Luton”. Well, who are we to argue?

Don’t let this lead you to underestimate their live performances though. We love everything about these particular prats.

Bogaty Smak

We shared space with this duo in lovely Leytonstone. Their sludgy, grungy, noisy show totally blew us away.

As well as their love for bands such as Flipper, Melvins, Jesus Lizard, etc, we also respect their choice of name – as it shows their love for something that’s particularly close to our hearts – Polish beer.

Sabatta

Like some groove in your punk rock? Sabatta delivers Grunge Soul in a thick, psychedelic syrup that stays with you.

Yinka’s command of the crowd is relaxed but hypnotic.

If you have not experienced Sabatta, you owe it to yourself to check them out.

LACK

deface frontDo we need to add anything here?

Well, not really, apart from this gig being the secret launch of our new EP – DEFACE

The CD contains 5 previously unreleased tracks that we recorded at the end of last year.

We’ve even got a brand new track having its first outing at this gig too.

This gig is FREE!

Running times

  • BOGATY SMAK – 8:15pm
  • SABATTA – 9pm
  • DINGES – 9:45pm
  • LACK- 10:30pm

Trains from Luton to London run up til Midnight. Just saying 😉

LACK love – Free track download for Valentine’s Day

February 7, 2017 By Lack Lustre

lack loveLong time no virtual jibber-jabber lovely sLACKers.

How have you been? All good, we hope.

Just a quick update from us. We had a bit of a break over Christmas and New Year’s but have already played a couple of shows, one in Bow and the other over in St Albans.

We are gearing up to promote our new EP – once we’ve decided on a name and artwork for it. The plan is to unleash it this Spring, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, we have something special for you. Next week, on February 14th, we will release a track.

The romantics amongst you will have realised that February 14th is St Valentine’s Day.

Now, it doesn’t matter to us whether you see this day as just another marketing exercise or simply a day to be extra-specially nice to your other half – that’s up to you.

What we, LACK, wanted to do is show how much we love you sexy sLACKers.

So, next week, there will be a track appear on our Bandcamp page and it’s yours to download for free (or, if you’re feeling particularly sassy, you can leave a donation).

Without giving too much away, the track is cover of love song first recorded in 1978.

If you want to know when this song will be available as soon as it lands, just join our mailing list 😉
